Installation & Usage

The RST215 is designed for "plug-and-play" operation in the field.

• Place the magnetic base on a flat, metallic surface of the vehicle roof with a clear, unobstructed 360-degree view of the sky.
• Route the 5m cable through a door seal or window, ensuring the cable is not pinched or crimped.
• Connect the TNC-Male connector to the antenna port of your Iridium docking station or terminal.
• Ensure the mounting surface is clean of debris to achieve the strongest magnetic bond and prevent paint scratches.

Usage Tip: While the magnetic mount is extremely strong, always ensure the antenna is placed as close to the centre of the roof as possible for optimal signal performance and safety at highway speeds.
